Character Rotation

This feature is new to CS - and its hard to find as its is not in the standard view of the Character palette. It's called the Character Rotation field, and lets you rotate characters relative to the baseline of the text.

To access make sure the Character palette is in its full view. When the palette is displayed, choose Show Options from the flyout menu.

You can either highlight the entire block of text or individual characters with the Type tool. Then pick an angle of rotation from the field's pop-up menu or enter the value you want in the field.
